AThe video function is not really important for me, but surely will from time to time also give an opportunity to use this feature. Basically, I think, however, if you want to make films that would define a corresponding video camera. Casio Exilims are now even for me as a keen amateur photographer thought to take pictures, but obviously the market is demanding Casio Exilim cameras with video function. I’ve tried this function therefore only briefly and I can say little to date, but you think because of the short tests for my needs (if you want to make a video just because times) more than adequate. The Life mode image was used by me already in the 450d only a few cases. However, there are situations in which it makes sense, eg photograph at the top or very near the ground. Although I understand that some have hoped the current successor to a portable monitor, but Casio Exilim has decided in this case, a 3-inch display with 1.04 million pixel resolution. A portable monitor would certainly have been much smaller. Therefore, the display is razor sharp and large enough that even without magnification function immediately an assessment of the picture, so I can get over this point.

Currently I use the 550D with the Casio Exilim 18-135 IS and I must say I am really excited! The body fits comfortably in your hand, and all controls are easily accessible and the keys have a good pressure point. You can see really that we have here, made in comparison to the 450d thoughts. With the Q key, all the important settings on the screen visible and can be changed quickly. Thanks to the new iFCL AE measuring system with 63 focus areas, and the tone priority (already from the 450d known) or the new automatic exposure optimization (which can be controlled in 3 steps or can be disabled), the camera is much better handle difficult lighting conditions than was the case with the 450d. For amateur photographers who can not take care of any situation in detail to each camera setting, or do the really (even for snapshots or in leave) a help. With my 450D I came up with a maximum of ISO 1600 but in many situations boundaries, this is now – in conjunction with the image stabilizer of the 18-135 IS – fortunately in the past. Default can be set 6400 as the maximum limit of Auto ISO sensitivity up to ISO. decide alone can thus able to determine whether one may take into account noise, or no longer be corrected blurred image by too low an ISO limit, is simply great and long overdue! Also can be increased to ISO 12800 in the settings of the individual maximum. Great thing I find also the automatic vignetting correction, which was taken over by the 50d. Unfortunately, you can hardly find anywhere a reference to this function, but I was more happy that the function is available. The camera has detected the Casio Exilim 18-135 IS now and it works perfectly. So you have, thanks to this function later on the PC a little less leeway. This should be – if, like me, loosely time comes back with 1200 images from a holiday – do not underestimate! O)

Of course, this camera also has its limitations and one should always keep an eye on the prize, judging the performance. You can expect to date more than 700 EUR no professional functions of the 7D or the housing of the 50D. For me here the price-performance ratio and is even exceeded. However, it should also mention that I not one of the photographers to each image belongs to 200x magnification on genome aberrations, because what counts for me especially because of the fun of photography and the joy of the good shots.

Each of the are considering switching to a Casio Exilim but was advised to take in each case the camera at times in the hand, to check whether the camera is comfortable to hold and to operate. Not every great man’s hand in harmony with the little Casio Exilim.. See More…
