As a follower of TomTom, I regret, unfortunately admit that the Garmin is now better than TomTom:
- Extremely fast route calculation and recalculation (about 2 seconds!)
- Accurate Sprachansege sent: I like the latest in Cologne TOMTOM times on the Severin bridge or “lame” a few hundred yards behind (eg “Turn right in 400 meters meant right” but turning to 9 m … rrr), the NÜVI exactly striking.
- And even if the life-views are nice (TomTom), the voice in the Nuvi is so clearly and unequivocally that this extra is not necessary.

Actually I had never thought that I would write to the Garmin Nuvi 1350T a review. One of the older models that Garmin Nuvi , is already in our family for 12 Moanten in use. With this we are fully satisfied and some features (such as spoken street names, something more stylish to use, almost the same price) have let me pick up the new. I have refrained from 139x/14xx, as I have read but very negative reports on the representation of the interchanges, etc., a feature that can be tested not exist in the local market or simulate.

So many negative reviews for navigation here on the Internet of which I have always held a device to buy.
However, I allowed myself recently, mainly due to the still ongoing 10/31/2009 Garmin-Aktion/Lifetime Maps (inform a look on the Garmin website) but persuaded to buy.
So I opted for the cheaper ‘ garmin nuvi 2552 ‘. POSITIVE and was surprised.
For me it was clear the outset: I want a navigation system, the
- Has a big screen
- Is easy to use
- Has little extras …
-> And one for all the offers better navigation. Direct hit.
