As a follower of TomTom, I regret, unfortunately admit that the Garmin is now better than TomTom:

- Extremely fast route calculation and recalculation (about 2 seconds!)

- Accurate Sprachansege sent: I like the latest in Cologne TOMTOM times on the Severin bridge or “lame” a few hundred yards behind (eg “Turn right in 400 meters meant right” but turning to 9 m … rrr), the NÜVI exactly striking.

- And even if the life-views are nice (TomTom), the voice in the Nuvi is so clearly and unequivocally that this extra is not necessary.

- The display is easy to read even in sunlight, the bracket holds.

- The launch and the satellite-determination are usually extremely fast (faster than the TomTom was different before),

- The voice prompts are accurate and easy to understand (“Turn right in 50 meters from … in the Friedrichstrasse”)

- Operation is logical and possible, without instructions, the cards currently.

Conclusion:
The Garmin has no “gimmicks”, the view is unspektakülär, the computer voice at first getting used to, but who is looking for a reliable navigation system goes with this wonderful Nüvi & stress!
